BID & PAYMENT TERMS · UPDATED AUGUST 29, 2026

Clear terms before a card is charged.

1. Deposit at bid time

Placing a bid authorizes an immediate card charge equal to 20% of that bid. The deposit backs the bid and is applied to the total if the bidder wins.

2. Automatic loser refunds

If another verified bid replaces yours, your full deposit is automatically submitted to Stripe for refund to the original card. PROJECT 997 does not deduct a refund fee. Your card issuer controls when the credit appears.

3. Winning balance

If your bid wins, you authorize one later off-session charge for the remaining 80% when Marcel finalizes the auction. Some banks can require you to authenticate that charge. A bid is not fully settled until Stripe reports that the balance succeeded.

4. Auction finish

The public auction locks when verified leading bids reach the $80,000 campaign target. Marcel then finalizes the winning bids from the private admin console. Bids still processing when the auction locks cannot become winners and their successful deposits are routed to a full refund.

5. Five-year placement

A settled winner receives the selected placement for 60 cumulative months under the final sponsorship agreement, including the stated upkeep, documentation, and make-good commitments. Brand and artwork eligibility must be confirmed before settlement.

6. Independent project

PROJECT 997 is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Porsche AG. These payment terms should be reviewed by qualified legal and tax professionals before the live auction opens.
